Meditation:   Meditation is the journey from Body-Mind Consciousness to Self Consciousness. The Indian Rishis attributed great importance to culture and stressed on the need for the development of the inner faculties of a human being. They discovered various methods of feeding, resting and revitalizing the body. After countless years of experience and experiments they developed special systems of exercises for increasing the strength, purity and power of all the faculties of man called Meditation.

 Pranayam (प्राणायाम) :

Breath is gross in nature, whereas prana is subtle and allpervading.Prana is also known as Pranic force or Life-energy. The process to enhancethis vital force is called pranayam.

Pranayam se siddhiyan
If a person succeeds in reducing his breath length by 7 fingers, he experiences paranormal increase in his momentum. If a person thrives to reduce it by 8 fingers, he will be blessed with aanima, mahima, laghima, garima and the rest all aashth siddhis.
A person realizes navniddhi if he curtails his breath length by 9 fingers and after reducing it by 10 fingers he attains ten states of life. A person can get rid of his shadow in other words his shadow will become indiscernible if he succeeds in reducing his breath length by 11 fingers.
By cutting down the length of breath by 12 fingers, a person attains liberation.
People who practice pranayam should be forewarned that these pranayam should be practiced under the guidance of an experienced and proficient guru else it can result in mental sickness and/or other complications

Yogic Chakras

Yogic Chakras

Through inner attunement, the ancient yogis were able to perceive the energetic basis of all matter.  The seven chakras or energy centers comprise their model of the energetic or subtle body.  Each chakra is located along the spine, starting at the base and running upwards to the crown of the head. These centers are not visible by naked eyes but are "whirling disks of light" each radiate a specific color and spiritual quality, and are associated with corresponding psychological, physical, and emotional states necessary for the development of the whole person.

Seven Chakras and their positions:

1. Muladhar (root): It is located at the base of the spine.

2. Svadhisthana (sweetness):It is located at lower abdomen(between belly button and pelvic bone).

3. Manipura (lustrous gem):It is located at solar plexus(between belly button and bottom of rib cage)

4. Anahata (not struck): It is located at the heart (center of the chest).

5. Vissudha (purification)It is located at the throat.

6. Aagyna (to perceive): It is located between the eyebrows, just above the bridge of the nose.

7. Sahasrara (thousand petaled): It is located at the crown (top) of the head.

Yogasan Intoduction

Introduction : Yoga is a Sanskrit word derived from the Sanskrit root "yuj" which means to connect, join or balance. The most important thing, however, is that Yoga - with its entire applications and implications - is a powerful means to an end. The ultimate end of all human pursuits is "Moksha." Moksha is freedom from all bondage; freedom from insecurities; freedom from the clutches of desires; freedom from the sense of limitations and inadequacy; freedom from all that thwarts us on our divine journey in life. In other words, the end of all human pursuits is everlasting peace, happiness and a sense of fulfillment. This is possible with steady and prolonged sincere practice of Yoga. It activates a process of cleansing and purification of mind, which in turn, prepares us for the dawning of Self-knowledge. Yoga means this connection; this knowledge that removes the impurities and the veil of ignorance that keeps us strangers to ourselves Read More.
